If you’re opting for the custom home route, we’ll collaborate to get the ball rolling on your home. This includes finding a lot, selecting floor plans, and initial design ideas.
For a new home construction purchase, you’ll let our new home sales team know what you’re looking for in a Seattle home so they select available homes for you to visit.
3.Define
Step three is an exciting phase no matter what new home route you’ve selected. For custom builds, this is when the paperwork, permits, and procurement necessary to start construction happens.
For new home construction purchases, this is the time when you review selected homes and decide which one you’d like to make your home.
4.Development
For custom home projects, this is when your home officially “breaks ground”. It is time for the construction phase of your new home.
New construction purchases don’t require a construction phase. However, if you’ve selected a pre-sale option, this is the time you’ll be able to make small customizations (if applicable).
5.Delivery
Pack your bags and change your mailing address! It’s now time to get the keys to your new home and move in.
This is also when we’ll get you set up with your homeowner portal login that will allow you to access your warranty, make service requests, and learn helpful home maintenance tips.

How long does it take JayMarc’s Seattle home builders to complete a custom home?
Custom homes take about 18 - 24 months to complete. This includes the initial discovery and design phase as well as the final construction stages.
For those who don’t have 2 years to invest in a new home, our pre-sale homes are usually done within 8 - 10 months of purchase and often allow homeowners to customize some final interior design selections.
If you need a home faster than that, we have move-in ready homes as well.
How long have you been home builders in the Seattle, Washington area?
Jay and Marc, our founders, began building homes together in 2010. But, their friendship goes back much further than that; the two met in college over 30 years ago and have been business partners since then.
