Help Families Design the Place They’ll Love Most: Home
At JayMarc Custom Homes, we believe a home is more than walls and a roof. It’s where life happens. Where families gather, milestones are celebrated, and memories are made for generations.
That belief shapes everything: how we build, how we show up for clients, and how we show up for each other.
We’re looking for an Architectural Designer & Draftsperson who shares that mindset. Someone who finds genuine satisfaction in sitting across from a family, listening to their hopes for their home, and translating those conversations into clear, precise drawings that guide every phase of the build.
This isn’t just a drafting role. It’s a relationship role that happens to require exceptional technical skill.
Our Culture, In Plain Terms
We’ve built our company around five core values:
- Guidance with Care – We meet every family and teammate with empathy, respect, and wisdom, offering the steady hand that turns uncertainty into confidence.
- Excellence in Every Detail – From the first sketch to the final walk-through, we pursue precision and craftsmanship that honor both our clients’ trust and our own high standards.
- Trust Through Transparency – We believe strong relationships are built on openness and honesty. Whether with clients, trades, partners, or teammates, integrity and clear communication are the core of everything we do.
- A Culture of Care & Belonging – Our workplace is warm, supportive, and family-like. Where people feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are as much as for what they do.
- Growth that Elevates Everyone – We invest in the personal and professional growth of our team, knowing that when individuals thrive, our clients and community do too.
Our goal for every homeowner is to “Love Where You Live.” Our goal for every team member is to “Love Where You Work.”
What You’ll Do
As our Architectural Designer & Draftsperson, you will play a central role in turning clients’ visions into buildable plans, working closely with both families and our internal team throughout the process.
With clients, you will:
- Meet with custom home clients to understand their vision, lifestyle, and priorities.
- Translate client conversations into thoughtful, detailed working drawings that guide construction.
With the team, you will:
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Field Managers, Estimating, Purchasing, Architecture, and Accounting.
- Participate in lot fit studies and coordinate with internal teams to ensure site compatibility.
- Conduct field observations to verify that drawings align with real-world construction.
- Practice servant leadership by supporting your teammates and contributing to a positive, collaborative environment.
On the technical side, you will:
- Ensure plans are clear, accurate, and efficient so the entire team, from project managers to trades, can execute with confidence.
- Prepare and coordinate permit and municipal submittal documents.
- Draft construction details that reflect JayMarc’s high-quality standards.
- Incorporate revisions, updates, and non-standard options within established timelines.
- Respond to municipality comments and update plans as needed.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
You might be a great fit if you:
- Genuinely enjoy working directly with clients and building trusted relationships.
- Take real pride in precision, organization, and attention to detail.
- Are positive, dependable, and self-motivated. Someone who follows through without being reminded.
- Care about doing things the right way, not just the easy way.
- Are energized by seeing a home go from idea → drawing → finished home.
We’re not looking for someone who just fills a seat. We’re looking for someone who cares about the work and the people behind it.
